We finally have a new roof! Packing up, moving things about, staying clear and then a crazy amount of clean up finished…no more leaks and now pondering installing a heating system, as the holes in the exterior walls are due to be fixed in November. I love the idea of the studio/store being able to be open through the winter, but depends on a.) not having heat just disappear, leaving more bills than warmth and b.) cost of the system.
Totally normal cash desk situation. 😜
The Orange Shirt Day Project OS is an initiative I have been working on the last few weeks, located at the Community Incubator, 279 10th Street West, Owen Sound. It will be open tomorrow, the first National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, from 10 am - 2:30 pm.
Books and art. 😍 I purchased this beautiful vase from one of my absolute favourite Grey/Bruce artists @tanyazaryski_art this week…and it matches some of my favourite books here. A rabbit and moon on one side with three rabbit classics, Watership Down, The Velveteen Rabbit and The Runaway Bunny. On the other side, a crow in a crown and Grief is The Thing With Feathers by Max Porter. I love this book and never stop talking about it…it deserves a separate post but suffice it to say, it features a crow! 😍 Open until 8 pm and then tomorrow 12 - 4. #bookstagram #owensound #saublebeach #wiarton
